How TEP’s “Demand Time-of-Use” Works
This plan lowers kWh most hours and adds a monthly demand fee based on your highest on-peak hour.
- On-peak windows:
- Summer (May–Sep) 3–7 pm Mon–Fri;
- Winter (Oct–Apr) 6–9am and 6–9pm Mon–Fri.
- Weekends & TEP-listed holidays are off-peak.
Recent & upcoming changes
- TEP requested a rate review; proposed new rates could begin Sep 2026 (ACC process). (Tucson Electric Power)
- Fuel/purchased power factor (PPFAC) resets annually; recent updates have at times reduced rates seasonally. (Tucson Electric Power)
